Build it
before you spend.
Brand strategy, naming, identity and packaging design from a brand design agency in Chennai. A brand is the promise a market remembers. We decide what yours is, then put it on the pack.
What brand work
should deliver.
Four things you can act on: a diagnosis of the category and the competition, a position the brand can defend, a verbal and visual identity that expresses it, and the artwork that carries it to market. Anything that stops at a deck has stopped halfway.
The test is simple. A new hire, a distributor and a designer should all be able to read it and make the same decision without calling you.
| Output | Strategy to artwork |

Five steps from
whitespace to shelf.
The order matters. Buy one step, or the whole run.
Diagnose
Competitor, category and consumer research to find the whitespace the brand can genuinely own. Not the gap that is empty because nobody wants it.
Position
A single ownable idea the brand stands for, and the discipline to hold it on every pack, campaign and shelf.
Identity
Naming, logo and a visual system built to scale and stay uniform across pack, storefront, listing, film and ad.
Package
Shelf-ready artwork engineered to earn the pick-up: hierarchy, claims, mandatory compliance, print reality and structures that survive Indian trade handling.
Architect
Brand architecture and guidelines for what comes next. We do not stop at design. We execute, and then we take it to the shelf.
Then it has to
reach a shelf.
A pack that sells is worth nothing if the product is not where the buyer is standing. Floka is part of Hearth Global Ventures, which runs FMCG distribution in nine states.
Brand and design,
answered plainly.
What should a brand strategy project actually deliver?
Four things you can act on: a diagnosis of the category and the whitespace in it; a single ownable position the brand will stand for; an identity system (name, logo, colour, type, tone) that survives every surface from a pouch to a paid ad; and a brand architecture that says how future products fit.
At Floka it also ends with shelf-ready packaging, because in India the pack is the advertisement most consumers actually see.
How much does packaging design cost in India?
Roughly ₹25,000 for a single SKU label from a freelancer, to ₹5-15 lakh and above for a full range architecture from a specialist studio: driven by SKU count, structural work, photography and print engineering.
The larger cost is usually the redesign forced by poor shelf performance eighteen months later, so the economics favour doing category research and positioning properly before artwork starts.
Can you rebrand without losing existing equity?
Yes, and the sequence matters. We audit what consumers and the trade actually recognise (often a colour block, a shape or a single word rather than the logo) protect those assets, and replace everything that is not earning its place.
Where a range is large we phase the rollout by SKU velocity, so the shelf never looks half-changed.
Do you do naming?
Yes, inside the identity stage: candidate generation against the agreed position, linguistic and cultural screening for Indian markets, trademark class shortlisting for your lawyer to clear, and domain and handle availability.
We have named and launched brands including Old Madras Market, Nira and Desi Cha Teas: the last built from scratch and sold for ₹22 Cr.
How long does it take?
A focused positioning and identity project runs six to ten weeks. Add four to eight weeks for a full packaging range depending on SKU count and whether new photography or structural design is needed.
If you are launching against a season or a trade calendar, give us the date first and we will build the plan backwards from it.
What does your brand
get to own?
Tell us the category and the problem. We will come back with the diagnosis first, and the quote second.
